AM BACK
Hi folks. At the outset I must apologise for the disappearing act. The blog was started in earnest but I guess I had not accounted for the time taken by my regular professional work. I must admit that once the initial excitement died down, I would keep putting off the writing on one pretext or the other although the guilt would haunt me every now and then. Even armed with a new year resolution, it took me a good 25 days to get back to writing. I hope I shall be more regular with my writings. Please help by making the site more interactive and write in with as many questions and comments as possible.

Hello Dr.Agrawal,
I wanted to thank you for your blog - I find it to be very informative. I had a thyroidectomy due to papillary carcinoma in 2001. Thus, my endocrinologist keeps me chemically "hyperthyroid" to prevent thyroid / cancerous tissue from growing back. There is a lot of info on the internet about how naturally ocurring hyperthyroidism affects fertility, but virtually no info on how being synthetically hyperthyroid (after full thyroidectomy) affects fertility. I suspect that my chemical hyperthyroidism may be causing me to have a short (defective) luteal phase. Or maybe it's just because now I'm over 33... Either way, I had a baby 18 months ago but I am now having trouble getting pregnant again and my body/cycles seem to have compeltely changed since my first child - short cycles / luteal phase. I would like to have your thoughts.
Hello Doc,
Currently, I am your patient. I have been to other docs as well. But had always failed to get the proper guidance and the answers to my innumerable questions. Thanks a ton for your patience and for being humble!
Please do give information in your blog about pcos and ways to reduce it.... ( apart from taking medicines)like exercise, food habits etc. It would be really informative.
How do I find your the answers to the questions on your blog? They are not on the site

Hello doc,
I just want to that pcods are prescribed for metformin and clomid tablets but u din't prescribe me clomid tabs..i am a little confused..this i read in articles on net!
Hello Doctor, I am 24 years old female. We were trying to conceive from 2008 august. we met a doctor around mar 2009. she asked us to try for 3 months. I didn't coneceive. I took FSH,LH and prolactin etc. Hormone test. Doctor said my FSH is low. she asked me to take FSH hormone injection and a follicular study was done. In that my dominant follicle size is 13mm(below normal) means I am not ovulating(or) egg is not release. Then I undergone a laproscopy. Doctor said i have very very early stage of endometriosis and one follicular cysts.she added that because of cysts my follicle didn't grow. So i didn't conceive.
I did lot of surfing in Net. It says if i didn't ovulate i will not get my periods on time.. But not even a single month from last year I had a irregular period. my cycle is 27 to 28 days. If i am not ovulating why did i have a regular period?
dear dr,
pls tell if hormone like LH FSH and Testorone is below normal range in male body and sperm count nil, is there any treatment and hope for this
