Welcome

A warm welcome to all visitors at this forum. "Ignorance is not always bliss" and " A little knowledge is not always dangerous" is what I always tell my patients. Only when you involve yourself in your treatment and ask questions can you ensure you are having the correct treatment. This also helps you ward off the depression that normally accompanies this treatment since a healthy discussion would make you aware of how difficult our work sometimes can be. Patients are usually not aware of the protocol for testing, normal values and significance of most fertility related blood tests. I came across the following webpage and is quite comprehensive in details about these blood tests. Do check it out :http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html

Hi
This site is quite informative and would spread awareness among the masses about the querries related to conception. The option of answering to one's question within 24 hours is quite helpful. One can make out after meeting Dr.Rajeev Agarwal that he is a fully dedicated doctor and his work is more of a passion to him than a profession which is quite rarely seen in today's world.

Hi, My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for the past six years. Out of which we have been visiting doctors for four years. I have had five sessions with clomide and four with IUI. I have PCOS and am Type 2 Diabetic due to which am overweight. Its been a year since my last IUI and now the doctor wants to put me on Gonal F again and go for three mores sessions of IUI whereas we would like to go for IVF. The reason he stated was that I have to lose 3 kgs. which sounds kind of flimsy to me. I am based in Switzerland but also got tested at NYU medical centre and they said there was no reason why I couldn't proceed with IVF. What is your opinion?
